Today I wanted to share another one of my favorite slow cooker recipes...Pulled Chicken Sammies. I used to make Pulled Pork all the time, but have recently discovered that I love Pulled Chicken even better! And, my favorite part about this recipe? It requires only three ingredients...chicken, Stubbs Original BBQ sauce, and your choice of sandwich rolls....super easy, right?
- 2.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 jar Stubbs Original BBQ sauce (made with all natural ingredients)
Step 1: Add the chicken breasts to the slow cooker. Pour the entire jar of BBQ sauce on top.
Step 2: Set the slow cooker temperature to low and cook for 4-5 hours.
Step 3: Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and allow to rest for 30 minutes, reserving the cooking liquids. Then, shred the chicken using two forks. Finally, add the cooking liquids to the shredded chicken as desired. Some people like a drier consistency as opposed to wet, so add as much or as little as you prefer.
Step 4: Serve on buns or bread. In my house, we are big fans of Whole Wheat Sandwich Thins. And, if you are not a bread person, this Slow Cooker Pulled Chicken is also delicious on its own!
Before I sign off of this post, I would also like to give a huge shout out and thank you to my lovely and talented friend Elise at Pixels and Pulp who designed my beautiful new logo! Love you buddy!
